Arkitek MAA Wins PAM SDG Silver Award for Menara Affin Bank @ TRX
Kuala Lumpur, 31 May 2024 – Arkitek MAA is proud to announce that it has been honoured with the Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Silver Award for its Menara Affin Bank @ TRX project. The accolade was presented at the prestigious PAM Annual Dinner and Awards ceremony. It is noteworthy that there was no gold award given in this category this year, highlighting the distinguished position of Arkitek MAA's achievement.
The award serves as a testament to Arkitek MAA’s relentless commitment to incorporating sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in its architectural ventures. The Menara Affin @ TRX project exemplifies the firm's dedication to sustainable development and green infrastructure. The recognition underscores the firm's pledge to continue advancing in this critical domain and serves as an impetus for future excellence in sustainable project implementation.
Menara Affin Bank, the new headquarters building for Affin Bank, is strategically located within the new urban redevelopment site known as TRX Exchange. The project boasts a plot area of 5,040 square meters situated at the southeastern corner of the TRX Exchange. The building enjoys strategic connectivity, with access via Persiaran TRX – a dedicated ring road that seamlessly links all developments within the TRX Exchange to new and existing roadways. Moreover, it has the convenience of a direct, covered connection to the TRX MRT station, which is less than 100 meters away.
The design of Menara Affin Bank places a strong emphasis on wellness, green principles, and sustainability. The floor plans offer approximately 1,800 square meters of column-free space per floor, with an efficiency rate of about 85%, covering both low and high zones. This layout ensures optimal use of space while promoting an environmentally conscious and health-focused workspace.
